Chiptuning for the 116i is a process of modifying the engine control unit (ECU) to improve the performance of the car. This is typically done by reprogramming the ECU to optimize the engine's fuel and ignition timing, as well as increasing the turbo boost pressure. As a result, chiptuning can increase the horsepower and torque of the 116i, as well as improve its overall driving dynamics. However, it's important to note that chiptuning may void the car's warranty and could potentially have negative effects on the engine's longevity if not done properly. **
